Fred began his tenure at Dynamy in September 1997 as an Internship Year Advisor, became Internship Year Program Director in 1999, Program Director of both Internship Year and the Youth Academy in 2004, Director of Education in 2006, and is now Executive Director. The eldest brother in a family of seven children, Fred has always been drawn to supporting young people in figuring out their personal path in life and how to achieve the goals necessary to follow it. In his years at Dynamy, Fred has been devoted to supporting both staff and interns alike by: introducing a portfolio system for interns, increasing support resources for interns in the Worcester community, creating new policies to better support each individual's learning, facilitating changes in the Outward Bound component, and increasing retention and professional development opportunities for staff.

Fred earned his B.A. from Hamilton College and an M.A. in Teaching English from Tufts University. He has also taught high school, worked for the Johns Hopkins University's Center for Talented Youth summer program, and been an advocate for multiculturalism and equality wherever he has been. At Dynamy, he also oversees the Dynamy/Clark College Credit Option and teaches the Race, Class & Gender seminar. An avid writer who has won a number of essay awards during his academic life, Fred also enjoys sports, visiting his many siblings and his parents in New York, and reading just about anything!
